**If you are a civilian, go to the Civilian GunSkins ordering page**

GunSkins®, a leader in do-it-yourself, high performance vinyl wraps that can be applied to firearms for protection and camouflage, has generously created a line for Cover Me Veterans, which consists of camouflage pistol kits with our logo embedded into the patterns. Consistent with our mission, when a veteran places an order, there is the option to upload a personally relevant and meaningful image.

When we receive an order, if a photo is not uploaded, we send the GunSkins kit out to Veterans without a photo. If a photo is uploaded, we apply this image to the chosen pattern, and send the kit. The kits include pre-cut pieces for the left and right sides, and 3 mag skins for the bottom of pistol magazines. There is also an additional piece for the slide or barrel. The kits are generic and allow for the user to trim along the edge of the firearm for a perfect fit. They are easy to install and remove, and leave no residue behind.

OUR SERVICE IS COMPLETELY FREE TO SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE STRUGGLING TO ORDER, AS DISPLAY OF OUR PRODUCT SPREADS AWARENESS.

What size should I choose?

We initially offered one size of our Cover Me Veterans GunSkins, which is made to fit ALL handguns, and does so quite well. However, we received requests for a slightly larger template that was modeled after the 1911, so we now offer this, as well. If you have questions related to fit, you may want to refer to the photos on our website, and please feel free to direct questions to us at admin@CoverMeVeterans.org.

HOW TO ORDER:

  1. Choose a PATTERN
  2. Choose a SIZE
  3. Upload a photo (optional)

How to choose a photo

Our concept is based on feedback from Veterans that this idea has worked for them to reduce thoughts of suicide, as well as a research base that tells us that feelings of purpose and meaning in one’s life are protective against suicide.

Therefore, when considering which picture to upload, we offer the following recommendations:

  1. Submit a photograph of the thing that gives you a feeling of purpose and meaning in your life. The image doesn’t need to be one of a person, but may be one of a pet, logo, or symbol. For example, you may choose your military emblem or unit insignia, a religious symbol, or a word that reminds you WHY you need to THINK TWICE.
  2. Remember our mission and motto: “Who covers you, and who needs you to cover them?” Who are those people in your life who are there for you, and who needs you here?
  3. It is preferable to choose an image of a stable meaningful person or item in your life. For example, a picture of your children or parents might be a better choice than a picture of someone with whom you’ve just entered a relationship.
  4. Please avoid choosing a picture with low resolution as it may not produce a clear image.
  5. If at any time you decide that a different image would work better for you, please contact us and we will be happy to send a replacement.

After I got back I had just me, that wasn’t enough
I drank all the time, I couldn’t sleep without it. Wreckless adrenaline junkie.. I’ve now stabilized my life, kicked the addictions, raising 3 children is enough to keep going.

Hey guys!! Matt here from the Rustic River Craftsman Foundation 😀. I have told about 100 people about your service for vets as a last line of defense and to think twice. I want to represent your skins as I open carry everyday and work with vets 90 percent of the time.

I want to generate a new question, instead of “why do you carry” maybe… Wow, that’s awesome…. What’s the skin about? 😀 I believe your mission will save many, hell maybe me or one of my guys in the future but I definitely want you guys to never quit. Your mission is so critical to the veteran community. God speed and I can’t wait to spread the word and show my community of followers that their is help 😀🇺🇲

I served in the military as a tradition from every man in my family. We all value family, love God and our Country. I have lived in 6 different states and obtained a consealed carry license and an instructors license in every state. It is important for me to protect what I love and continue to serve if necessary. This service you provide is awesome. Im definately passing this on to my fellow Veterans and brothers still serving. God Bless.

Hi Dennis. I am sorry that you are running into problems. Are you using an Android phone to place an order, by chance? We have heard of a few people struggling to place orders today with Android. If so, you may want to try ordering from a computer or a friend’s phone. Either way, clearing your browser can help, too. We had to migrate our site urgently yesterday to keep up with orders, so there may be a few glitches. Let us know if you run into any problems. Thanks!

A heartfelt “Thank You” to your company for watching out for and taking care of Veterans. Your willingness to do something to help prevent suicides or self-harm among Veterans sets your company heads and shoulders above others. This is a great program I wish others companies would emulate. Thanks again!

Awesome service you are offering. Just this year alone in my state, we have had 4 suicides by current or former service members…this needs to be addressed better, and 1 way to do that is by getting the word out and making regular citizens aware of the problem; your service and product is a step in that direction!

I know I am very fortunate. I have my demons at bay it hasn’t been easy at all over the years. A co-worker sent me this tonight and I broke me down a bit remembering those that we have lost. However it also lifted me up knowing that something like this in those moments will help a brother or sister remember why and what we need to take care of.

Thank you so much… I am active and been working for two years to over come ptsd, depression, anxiety you name it. I have lost up to 7 buddies active duty and this could have been one small pebble that could have tripped them into thinking from a different point of view… in that moment. If that makes sense… you’re doing the lords work and I’m blessed to share.

If I didn’t have so many pictures of my kids in my house, I wouldn’t be here. It took seeing my son look at me one day like a scared 5 year old but he was actually 21 for me to realize I needed some help, so having my kids and I on my weapon will help so much, thank you, thank you!!!!

Thank you for what you do for us. I’ve had friends make the wrong decision and if, just if, they had something like this they would still be here for us.

Thank you for doing this. I have had a few brothers commit suicide over the last few years. It has been one of the most painful things to go through. Even if this only saves one life it beyond worth it! Thank you for all that you guys have done and are doing.

I just made my order.I just lost my service dog to a hit and run. I need this to keep fighting for her as well as myself. I have fought to help other vets keep from crossing that line. Now I am on it yet again. Thank you for all you do for vets.

Larry, we are so incredibly sorry to hear about your dog. That is heartbreaking. We are honored to assist and we hope you take advantage of the many resources available to you. We do this work to prevent further suicides, but also to honor those who have died. Your service dog is included in that….We are all in this together.
